オオチドリとムナグロ
小雨の中、オオチドリとムナグロのポイントを回ってきました。 5羽いたオオチドリ は幼鳥1羽になっていました。この幼鳥は以前の個体とは別で新しく渡ってきたものと思われます。
同じ場所にムナグロは100羽前後。夏羽に変わった個体も増えてきました。
糸満フィッシャリーナ近くでは海上からチュウダイサギ40羽の群れが渡ってきました。
Greater Sand Plover, juvenile. It can't match the vividness of an adult in breeding plumage, but it still has a commanding presence.
From behind. The Greater Sand Plover and Pacific Golden Plover are close in size, with the Pacific Golden Plover slightly larger. The Pacific Golden Plovers seemed to dislike the Greater Sand Plovers and would occasionally chase them away.
A Pacific Golden Plover that has almost completely moulted into breeding plumage.
This one has only just begun to show some black on the breast area.
