本日のシギ、チドリ
大里地区と裏田原の田んぼでシギチ観察。ツバメチドリやホウロクシギ、コチドリなどがいました。ジシギはチュウジシギだと思われます。
While watching shorebirds in the rice fields, an Oriental Pratincole came plunging down. It drank for a while, then took off again.
Three Far Eastern Curlews were resting in the rice fields. This seems to be a roost — they come in towards evening.
There were also snipe. Probably Swinhoe's Snipe, but I couldn't get conclusive evidence…
The Little Ringed Plovers were in a flock of a dozen or so.
