We'll drive you around Ishigaki Island to wherever the birds are showing best that day. Observation is mostly from inside the vehicle, and we keep it to a maximum of 3 guests so everyone can take their time.
牧草地でクロハラアジサシが2羽餌探し。
I thought it was fluttering along lazily, then it made a sharp turn and snatched a grasshopper.
Winter plumage. There were individuals in summer plumage too, but they were resting in the paddies and didn't fly. ^^;
珍しく、田んぼや牧草地じゃないところに佇んでいました。

今日のカンムリワシも子カメを食いまくり。 2時間で3匹捕まえてた。^^
It has a turtle gripped in its left foot. It seemed to dislike eating in the mud, so it carried it over to the berm.
After eating the turtle, it moved on to its favourite hunting ground. I can pretty much predict the flight path of this individual. ^^
A Crested Serpent Eagle with a leg ring marked 'C'. Rescued on 15 January 2011 — could this be "Shy"?
I can see the letter 'C' on the right foot. Could this be "Shy"?
