Ryukyu Besra Raiding a Ruddy Kingfisher Nest
It plunges its foot into the nest hole to grab the Ruddy Kingfisher chicks inside.
Three of the four Ruddy Kingfisher chicks were taken. Hard luck for the kingfishers, but the Japanese Sparrowhawk is also raising young at this time of year.
