ソリハシセイタカシギ2羽、クロヅル、ヘラサギほか

ソリハシセイタカシギが2羽飛来。島内をうろついている個体かもしれません。ほかでは4羽のソリハシセイタカシギも確認されています。

クロヅルも越冬モード。最初は警戒心つよつよでしたが、今はまったくありません。^^

ヘラサギも滞在中。こちらもフレンドリーな個体。シギたちも越冬組が確認できます。

Pied Avocet

Pied Avocets foraging together. The bird in the background is in first-winter plumage; the one in the foreground is an adult in winter plumage.

Hooded Crane

A Common Crane settling in comfortably at its favourite paddy field.

Eurasian Spoonbill

It seems the Eurasian Spoonbill has decided to winter here as well.

Northern Lapwing

Northern Lapwings are numerous again this season, as they were last year. This individual was on its own, but elsewhere several flocks of more than ten or so birds are wintering.

Wood Sandpiper

A small group of Wood Sandpipers. They were bathing.

Common Redshank

Common Redshank in first-winter plumage. Small flocks here and there.

Common Greenshank

Common Greenshank in first-winter plumage. Almost all the wintering birds are juveniles.

Green Sandpiper

Green Sandpipers are scattered here and there as well.

Red-necked Stint

A dozen or so Red-necked Stints on the shore.

Kentish Plover / Sanderling / Lesser Sand Plover

Kentish Plovers, Sanderlings, and Lesser Sand Plovers — the wintering contingent.

Black-headed Gull

A few Black-headed Gulls have arrived.
