今季初のカワウ、キンクロハジロ、ダイゼン幼鳥

カワウとキンクロハジロ、ダイゼン幼鳥をそれぞれ今季初確認しました。

ダイゼンは成鳥が現れてから遅れること2カ月で幼鳥が到着しました。海岸でシギ、チドリを見ていると海上から黒い大きな鳥が登場。2羽のカワウでした。

水路ではコガモやハシビロガモの群れの中にキンクロハジロが1羽いました。

タゲリやマガンも先日から滞在中です。

Grey Plover

Grey Plover, juvenile. There were two of them.

A Great Cormorant landed in the distance.

Tufted Duck

First Tufted Duck of the season. Appears to be a male in eclipse plumage.

A Greater White-fronted Goose, adult, staying on its own. Plenty of food available after the rice harvest.

Northern Lapwing in a flock of nine. All were juveniles.

Black-crowned Night Heron, juvenile. An individual with little wariness.

Eastern Cattle Egret and Intermediate Egret roosting in the mangroves. Not visible in the photo, but Little Egret and Great Egret were also present.
