An Oriental Pratincole moulting from juvenile to first-winter plumage. It had come to bathe at a river mouth. Oriental Pratincoles breed on Ishigaki-jima as well, and this individual was probably born here.

About 15 Wood Sandpipers moved into the rice paddies.
