ソリハシセイタカシギ、アカアシシギなど越冬中
石垣島の田んぼではソリハシシギが2カ所で3羽のほかアカアシシギやアオアシシギ、セイタカシギ、クサシギ、ハマシギ、タシギなどが越冬中。
Two Pied Avocets. Both adult females.
Watching from close range, I could hear the sound of the bill slicing through the water — "jyak, jyak."
It had caught what looked like a small snail.

Wintering Common Snipe. There were close to ten in the same paddy field.
Dunlin, adult winter plumage.
Common Greenshank, adult.
