サシバの渡り(動画あり)

昨日からサシバの渡りが始まりました。本日は2000羽以上が渡りました。^^

水の中の大きなカニにアタック!! 水につかって食うのは嫌なようで、茂みの中に運んでからゆっくりと食っていました。^^
While I was photographing this Crested Serpent Eagle, I got a message from my mentor: "What are you doing? 1,700 Grey-faced Buzzards in 30 minutes." I headed straight out to watch the migration. ^^ It has a firm grip on a crab.

It was following behind a tractor mixed in with Little Egrets. ^^;

今日は、6羽のカンムリワシがいました。子育ても終わっているのでだんだん数が増えてきました!!
It was hunting for prey. My time to leave for work came before I could see how it turned out… ^^;

松林のカンムリワシ幼鳥。近くに親鳥がいたからか、必死に甘え鳴きしていました。^^
The farmer let me into the field, so I could shoot up close. ^^ Don't go in without permission.

アカハラダカの渡りが最盛期!!
合計900羽近くの大乱舞でしたー。^^

今日のカンムリワシも子カメを食いまくり。 2時間で3匹捕まえてた。^^
It has a turtle gripped in its left foot. It seemed to dislike eating in the mud, so it carried it over to the berm.

牧草地でクロハラアジサシが2羽餌探し。
I thought it was fluttering along lazily, then it made a sharp turn and snatched a grasshopper.

It's such a striking wader that it stands out even in the rice paddies. ^^

ヤエヤマイシガメの子がメガたくさん出ているようで、観察中だけでも3匹を捕まえていました。

来月のアカハラダカの渡りが始まる頃には、ほとんど南へ渡っちゃうんだろうなー。
