GUIDED BIRDWATCHING TOUR
We'll drive you around Ishigaki Island to wherever the birds are showing best that day. Observation is mostly from inside the vehicle, and we keep it to a maximum of 3 guests so everyone can take their time.
昨日の夕方見つけたクロウタドリ、きょうもいました。場所は、数十メートル移動していました。

It seemed to be listening intently, sensing insects moving in the grass.
別々の場所ですが、クロウタドリが2羽いました。石垣島や西表島を経由してロシアや中国へ渡っていく道中なのでしょう。
撮影は1羽しかできず。北部の牧場内にいた幼鳥の方は、警戒心が強いのか木の陰から出てきませんでした。^^; 夕方6時すぎの発見だったので、明日は明るい時間帯に探してみよう。

I was hoping it would step up onto the perch, but no luck… ^^; The male Common Blackbird's yellow eye-ring against its dark iris gives it such a charming, soulful look.
ヤツガシラもどんどん石垣島から抜けています。本土からバードウォッチャーが2組来ていたのでヤツガシラ探し頑張りました。
なんとか1羽見つけたと思ったら、もう一本の木にもう1羽いました。小雨の降る中でしたので、ヤツガシラが全く地面に降りてくれないのが玉に瑕…。^^;
カンムリワシは多めで、10羽以上いました。
Guests first, so handheld at 840mm I could only manage 1/60 — a little blurry. ^^;

チョウゲンボウやサシバ、ハヤブサなどの猛禽類もそろそろ渡りの季節です。本土では、すでに産卵をしているハヤブサもいるようです。
