具志干潟でオニアジサシ、ミサゴ、ダイシャクシギほか
今日は二十四節気の立冬ですが、沖縄は30度近い夏日でした。^^;
昨日の夕方見つけたオニアジサシ を撮り直してきましたが、現地についてしばらくすると仕事の呼び出しがありあえなく終了。^^; もうちょっと観察したかったなー。
2羽と思っていたオニアジサシが実は、5羽ほどいました。1羽は釣り針を呑んでいるようでくちばしから釣り糸が垂れ下がっていました。
瀬長島周辺の具志干潟は、魚が多いようで釣り人も多くいます。ミサゴも入れ替わりで何羽かやってきて首尾よくボラなどを捕まえていました。コサギやクロサギもあちこちに。
対岸の方には、ダイシャクシギが1羽いました。ほかには、コアオアシシギやキアシシギ、オオメダイチドリ、ダイゼン、チュウシャクシギなど。
ところで、ロクヨンは新しいEF600 F4L IS II USMになってから2倍のエクステンダーを入れても十分に解像してくれますね。

This juvenile Caspian Tern appeared to have swallowed a fishhook; a length of fishing line was visible hanging from its bill.
A juvenile Osprey also managed to get itself a mullet.
A juvenile Osprey tries to pin down a mullet and eat it, but the fish is very much alive and giving it a hard time.
Spotted a Far Eastern Curlew in the distance.
A few Pacific Reef Herons also seem to be using the feeding grounds, but territorial squabbles are constant.
A Little Egret came right in front of me and was catching small fish.
