寒空の下、セッカやタヒバリ、シロチドリなど

前日とは打って変わって朝から小雨が降る寒い一日でした。

南部のニンジン畑ではセッカが餌探し。ビニールハウスに囲まれた小さな空き地にはタヒバリが1羽だけ寂しそうにしていました。

海岸に出てみると、シロチドリ100羽ほどの群れが水面を勢いよく飛び回っていた。何かに追われているのかのようでしたが、猛禽などの姿はなし。ハマシギやキョウジョシギ、アオアシシギもいましたが反応はなく採餌していた。なんだったんだろう。

Water Pipit

A Buff-bellied Pipit sitting alone in a small vacant lot. It was in a strange spot by itself, so my heart skipped a beat for a moment. ^^;

A flock of Kentish Plovers, with a few Red-necked Stints mixed in.

Dunlin

A Dunlin that came right up in front of me.
