コアジサシ、シロチドリ抱卵中 シロガシラ、イソヒヨドリ、ウグイス、ヒヨドリは巣立ち
海岸では、コアジサシとシロチドリが抱卵中。
コアジサシの巣の横には、木の枝が突き立ててあった。誰かが踏まないようにと目印をつけたのだろう。
シロチドリの巣は二つ。両方とも抱卵中でした。
海岸近くの防風林では、シロガシラの巣立ち直後と思われるヒナがいた。イソヒヨドリのヒナは巣立ち後、しばらくたっているようでこちらを警戒することも覚え、親鳥について回っていた。
ウグイスは、藪の中を3羽ほどの巣立ちビナが親鳥について回っていた。かなり深い藪で写真は撮れず。 母島で見たハシナガウグイスのヒナ たちは全く警戒心がなかったんだけど、沖縄のウグイスは警戒心が強い。
ヒヨドリの巣立ちビナもあちこちで見られた。
沖縄は、海も山も子育て真っ盛りです。^^
Kentish Plover incubating. Three eggs.
Okinawa seems to be having another dry rainy season this year, with hot, sunny days continuing. The heat is getting to me out in the field too. ^^;
Three Kentish Plover eggs on a piece of coral. People walk along this beach for their daily stroll, so I'm worried the eggs might get stepped on.
A Little Tern searching for prey. Its mate is incubating.
A recently fledged Collared Crow-Myna chick.
It has barely developed any wariness yet.
The Blue Rock Thrush had three chicks with her. Several days had passed since fledging, and they were flying freely and following the parent around.
