今季2個体目となるカラシラサギが河口に飛来。近くにはクロツラヘラサギ3羽も滞在しています。繁殖シーズン序盤で活発なリュウキュウヨシゴイは5羽確認しました。田んぼには北帰行に置いてきぼりのコガモとハシビロガモがいました。
The second Chinese Egret of the season. It was showing its familiar behaviour of chasing fish at the water's edge.
子どもと海岸にカニ取りに行ったらハシブトアジサシ4羽とカラシラサギ2羽がいました。ハシブトアジサシもカラシラサギも警戒心ゼロで子どもが騒いでも気にしていない様子でした。^^

午前中にハシブトアジサシが3羽飛び回っていたので、仕事の切りがついたタイミングでカメラ持って再度、訪れたらカラシラサギに変わっていました…。^^;

今季はカラシラサギの飛来が多い石垣島です。今回のを合わせて、複数箇所で6個体を確認しています。

カラシラサギが2羽、河口に飛来しました。午前中は1羽でいたが、午後には2羽に増えました。後日、さらにもう1羽やってきました。
エリグロアジサシは十数羽が飛来。すでにペアになっているようで、産卵、子育ても間もなく始まることでしょう。

世界的に数が少なく貴重なカラシラサギ3羽が飛来していました。海岸を軽やかに跳ねながら小魚などをとっているようでした。
5月に入ってから島の海岸や河口などで断続的に観察されています。石垣島の春の渡りのカラシラサギは6月にかけてよく観察されます。
