昨日、今日とアカハラダカの渡りを見てきました。昨日は600オーバー、今日は50ぐらいでした。

牧場にカンムリワシの幼鳥がいました。

First of the year!!

先日の群れ。今朝は、少し少なくなって20羽ほど。

Changed into winter plumage.

久しぶりに早朝の鳥見でカンムリワシが6羽見られました。

That soft morning light is great.

シマキンパラのシマは島じゃなくて縞。外来種です。

Even smaller than a sparrow.

声は、2週間ぐらい前から聞いていました。カンムリワシ撮影中ふと横を見ると近距離に!!

Close range, but it hasn't noticed me, so it's relaxed.

数十羽のツバメチドリが群れていました。

It's so hot the air is shimmering. ^^;

ツバメもだいぶ南下していった模様。

Even getting it in the finder is tough. ^^;

小雨の中、カンムリワシの飛翔。

アカショウビンもいたけど、18:30ごろの林道の中で証拠写真を押さえただけ。^^;

I waited an hour and it finally took off — in exactly the direction I expected!!

The shooting conditions were extremely tough, though….

手前に飛んでほしかったんですが、反対でした。^^;

The Crested Serpent Eagle is usually teased by crows, but this individual was fighting off a whole flock.

数日前から同じ場所によくいるミサゴ。タカたちの渡りの始まりかな?

It's more than 100 metres away….

水面に獲物を見つけると素早くターンしてつかまえます。

I just managed to get a catchlight in the eye. ^^;

久しぶりに牧草地にでてきました!!

It gave me about five seconds of low-level flight.

昼休憩にサクッと!!

子育ても終わって、やっと会えました!!

It was too close — the wing is cut off at the edge….

だんだん増えてきました!!

Looks healthy.

山の鳥がいないので、水辺の鳥で…。まだまだ少ないセイタカシギですが、これから増えてくるかと。

Among so many drab waders, the Black-winged Stilt is really beautiful.
