越冬サシバたちとシマアカモズ
沖縄本島で越冬するサシバの数が例年より多く感じます。自宅のある豊見城我那覇から糸満の米須までの道中13キロ、直線距離で10キロの間に20羽以上を確認。さすがに街中にはいないので実質2〜3 キロの間に20羽以上がいました。今年は県内に暗色型サシバが3羽もいるのも頷ける話です。
シマアカモズは、秋の渡りのころは多く見られますが、越冬組は例年通りの密度です。八重山に比べると少ない。

Also an adult female Grey-faced Buzzard. The dark-morph Grey-faced Buzzard at the same spot showed itself only for a moment before disappearing into the forest.
Juvenile Grey-faced Buzzard.
Female Bull-headed Shrike. It was in a small vacant lot in the village.
