石垣島で越冬中のシギ・チドリ
石垣島で越冬中のシギとチドリの紹介。
南の島ならではのアカアシシギは数羽の小さな群れ、一番数の多いセイタカシギは十数羽から二十数羽の群れが複数箇所、目立ちませんがタシギも多く越冬中で朝方や夕方は姿を現します。アオアシシギやクサシギ、イソシギあたりも少数が滞在中で、きょうはハマシギも1羽だけ発見しました。
今季はタゲリが多く、十数羽が越冬中です。コチドリも絶賛越冬中。

Another Common Snipe. The snipe here are almost all Common Snipes.
Common Greenshank, adult winter plumage.
Green Sandpiper, first-winter plumage. The loudest and most conspicuous call of any wader here.
Dunlin, first-winter plumage.
