今季初のヘラサギ
今季初のヘラサギがクロツラヘラサギとともに飛来しました。コサギ、クロツラヘラサギと並ぶとヘラサギの大きさが一段と目立っていました。
クロツラヘラサギがかなり若い個体で不安なのかヘラサギについて回るのですが、あまりヘラサギに近づき過ぎるとしかられていました。^^ それでもヘラサギが飛び立つとクロツラヘラサギも飛び立ってついて行っていました。

With a Eurasian Spoonbill (left) and a Black-faced Spoonbill side by side, the size of the Eurasian Spoonbill really stands out. A Little Egret was following the two spoonbills around — its plan being to snatch up any aquatic creatures startled into the open as the pair swept their bills back and forth while feeding.
A Black-faced Spoonbill in flight. The black feathers typical of juveniles are conspicuous.
A Eurasian Spoonbill in flight. Being a young bird, the black feathers are equally striking.
