カタグロトビ vs. チョウゲンボウ
朝、農地を回っているとカタグロトビがホバリングしていました。かなり距離があったので双眼鏡で見ているとチョウゲンボウがアタックしていた。
石垣島内のカタグロトビは、数を順調に増やしているので、朝夕の田んぼやサトウキビ畑などで出会い機会が多くなっています。

Its level flight is also distinctive — recognisable at a glance even from a distance.
A juvenile Common Kestrel attacks the Black-winged Kite from behind.
The Black-winged Kite extends its sharp talons and fights back.
While the Black-winged Kite and Common Kestrel were locked in their fight, Barn Swallows were wheeling around them.
