カタグロトビもリュウキュウツミも子育て中
石垣島で一番カタグロトビを観察している人に同行して巣から見え出したヒナを拝んできました。幼鳥のカタグロトビを見るのはこれが初めて。なんとも可愛らいいヒナでした。^^
先日、巣立ちビナを発見したリュウキュウツミ の親から子への餌渡しでも見てやろうと行ってきましたが、ヒナは鳴き声はすれど見えず。親鳥も捕まえたセミを自分で食っていました。ヒナたちは十分餌を食ったあとだったのか?

I expected the young to come and take the food, but while she was processing it, the prey fell to the ground below.
