It snatched a Brambling that was picking up grass seeds at the roadside and disappeared into the bushes. A flock of 200–300 Bramblings had arrived on the island before the typhoon and seems to have dispersed, appearing in small groups of a few birds.

The Grey-nightjar that had been here before was found dead right beneath this branch. I worry because rental cars and taxis pass by at speed even while I'm shooting. Please, everyone — slow down.
