金武の水路でリュウキュウヨシゴイとタシギ
金武の水路に住み着いているリュウキュウヨシゴイは朝や夕方、天気の悪い日には大抵見ることができます。今回はオスだけですが、同じ水路にメスも住み着いています。
タシギは15羽ほどがいました。越冬モードのタシギは、秋の渡りの時期に比べると写真が撮りやすい。^^
Male Ryukyu Dwarf Bittern. At about 20 metres away, it showed almost no wariness.
Common Snipe.
It was plunging its bill into the bottom of the channel to catch small earthworm-like prey.
Few of the wintering Common Snipe bother to go on alert when a camera is pointed at them — most are relaxed and foraging like this.
