三角池にソリハシセイタカシギ3羽とクロツラヘラサギ11羽
自宅から近い、豊見城市与根の三角池にソリハシセイタカシギが3羽入りました。前日、友人と「今年はアボセット入んないねー」などと話していたのでうれしさも3倍です。^^
夕方、通ると3羽ともまだ滞在していました。ことしもソリハシセイタカシギが三角池で越冬してくれるのを願っています。三角池に3羽ものソリハシセイタカシギが同時に飛来するのは、おそらく初めての記録だそうです。
沖縄では過去、具志干潟にソリハシセイタカシギ7羽が同時に入ったこともあるそうです。
クロツラヘラサギは「J15」と「E24」を含めて11羽が三角池で休んでいました。10年連続で毎年沖縄にやってくる J15 は、10日ほど前に今季初確認。 昨年は、11月8日に確認 しました。今年もほぼ同時期の飛来です。
E24は、2011年に韓国で幼鳥時代に標識をつけられたオスの個体で、ことしの3月には、泡瀬干潟で怪我をして弱っているところを釣り人により保護、同5月に漫湖水鳥・湿地センターで放鳥されたクロツラヘラサギです。

With American Avocets, even a fight amounts to little more than hitting each other with their wings or nipping with their bills — nothing that leads to serious injury.
'J15,' the Black-faced Spoonbill, has returned again this year. Ten consecutive years of visits since it was rescued, and now 13 years old.
This is Black-faced Spoonbill 'E24,' which spent the summer on Okinawa Island. Six years old this year.
