リュウキュウアカショウビン造巣開始
アカショウビンが巣作りに入っています。朽ちた木を一生懸命ほっていました。カラスが近づくと『ギャー』と鳴いておっぱらっていました。

A Ruddy Kingfisher that perched on a nice branch. After this it turned to face left and I couldn't get a good shot.

This Ruddy Kingfisher was working hard to dig a hole in a rotting tree. The branch behind it is in the way.

The Ruddy Kingfisher is compact and cute, but the look on its face when it's targeting prey is pure wild animal.
