アカショウビン抱卵中
昨年、巣立ちにばったり出会ってしまったポイントのアカショウビンが今年も営巣していました。昨年の営巣木からは数十メートル離れた場所の急な斜面です。ブラインドを立てる場所をどこにしようかと思案中。最短で8月3日、遅くとも8月24日の巣立ち予定ですね。見に行く時間をつくらねば…。^^;
物陰に隠れて、抱卵交代シーンを確認したかったのですが、時間がなく1時間ほど見ている間には行われませんでした。
I peered through the binoculars and spotted something — a Ruddy Kingfisher incubating eggs.
The Ruddy Kingfisher met my gaze. This is the most critical time of year, so I took a few shots and then left.
A lizard like this came right to my feet. It was an unusual lizard that seemed to glide as it ran.
