SONY α9 II と FE 200-600mm F5.6-6.3 G OSS テスト
初代EOS Kiss DigitalからEOS-1D X Mark IIまで約15年来のCanonユーザーでしたが、ついにSONYへ浮気。^^;
α9 II と FE 200-600mm F5.6-6.3 G OSS を購入しました。初撮影は0歳児の子守中だったのでとりあえずカンムリワシやムラサキサギ、タカブシギなど目についた鳥でテスト。
電子ファインダーやボディの小ささ、操作系の違いなどの違和感を懸念していましたが、全く問題なし。強いて言えば、シャッターボタンが近すぎてたまに見当違いのところを押下しようとしてしまいましたが、慣れるでしょう。1D X Mark IIとEF600mm F4L IS II USMの重くて大きなセットに比べると取り回しも画質もよく最高です。
速い飛びものや逆光、低照度の悪環境、夜間のフラッシュを使用した撮影などの性能や使い勝手も気になるところです。
Shooting a Crested Serpent Eagle handheld at 600mm, 1/160s, looking up while standing — an unstable position, but the 5.5-stop image stabilisation is no joke.
Also handheld, a distant juvenile Crested Serpent Eagle. The higher pixel count means better cropping headroom too.
A Purple Heron appeared out of nowhere and I grabbed a shot handheld from inside the car. Good handling really makes a difference when you have to react fast.
The autofocus tracks well. The subject is large and slow, so I haven't been able to test it properly yet…
Good numbers of Wood Sandpipers had dropped into the rice paddies. Moulting from winter to summer plumage.
